The Wreaths of Remembrance event is Saturday, Dec 3 at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  Scouts should arrive by 9:45am in full Class A uniform, and gather at the monument area.  There will be a briefing on how to proceed with the laying of wreaths.  Bathrooms are available and there is also usually hot chocolate and coffee provided.  This is a RAIN OR SHINE event, so please dress accordingly!  The event lasts about an hour.

A Memorial Ceremony will start promptly at 10am.  Volunteers will gather at 9:45am.  Individual grave ceremonies and wreath laying will follow the Memorial Ceremony.

From their web site:

"Due to the growing popularity of the Wreaths of Remembrance event being held on December 3rd, 2016 there will be changes to the parking procedures for this year. All volunteers and family members are required to proceed to Williamstown High School located one mile from the cemetery at 700 Tuckahoe Road, Williamstown New Jersey 08094. Once there you will be directed to available parking. There will be multiple buses to take you from the school to the cemetery. Shuttles will begin running at 7:45 AM. Family members are suggested to arrive no later than 8:30 AM and volunteers no later than 9:15 AM. There will be one shuttle bus from Monroe Township that is Handicap Accessible."

For anyone who is interested in donating to help with the cost of the wreaths, there is a website for this purpose.  Go to www.pfpfoundation.org and click on "Donate" on the left side.  The cost of one wreath is $6.  No grave is left out; a wreath will be laid upon every grave.  There are currently approximately 1800 graves at the Veterans cemetery.  We believe that cash or check donations will also be accepted at the cemetery on the day of the event.

The Veterans Cemetery is located at 240 South Tuckahoe Rd., Monroe Twp (Williamstown), NJ 08094.
